Joe Lapsansky

Full Stack Developer - Digital Finance Consultant - Cloud Practitioner

After moving toward a data-intensive career path, I completed a Vanderbilt University Data Analytics certification program that helped strengthen my skills in SQL, Python, Tableau, and Power BI. Today, I work at the intersection of finance, data, and technology, helping private equity-backed companies transform their finance functions through modern analytics solutions. My work includes building Microsoft Fabric data warehouses, developing scalable pipelines and semantic models, and creating reporting solutions that turn complex financial and operational data into actionable insights. I am also an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and enjoy continually expanding my knowledge of cloud technologies, data architecture, automation, and AI. Outside of my professional work, I have tutored students in data analytics and have made the content available through my YouTube channel, Data Science Building Blocks. As technology continues to reshape the finance function, I am particularly interested in AI enablement and the intersection of modern cloud data platforms, analytics, and financial decision-making.

About Me

I welcome work that requires a high-degree of financial acumen and an understanding of relational databases. While I enjoy analyzing financial statements, I am more interested in the data behind the cumulative numbers. I am currently leading my team through a server migration and making a push toward predictive analytics reporting.
